Frequently Asked Questions

At Emerald Crest, we offer a deep knowledge of memory care in a specialized assisted living setting for seniors with Alzheimer’s and memory loss conditions.

We encourage you to contact us directly with any questions not answered here:

What if I'm not sure assisted living is the right step for a loved one at this time?

Emerald Crest regularly refers to outside services that can help caregivers and families determine what care options would be the best fit. If your goal is to keep your loved one home with you as the primary caregiver, we can connect you to outside services that can help. If your goal is to be prepared before 24-hour supervision is warranted, regular evaluations and guidance by a skilled healthcare professional will help guide you to make the right decisions.

How do I arrange for a tour?

We would love to have you visit Emerald Crest. Just call 952-908-2215 and our admissions coordinator will arrange a time that is convenient for you. Schedule a Tour.

How can I easily compare memory care facilities when I’m touring?

We understand that selecting a memory care facility for your loved one can be stressful. To help get you started in the process, a Memory Care Provider Checklist is offered on our website. Take a look and download or print the checklist to help you while you consider your questions before a memory care facility tour, and also to carry along with you when you go.

Are current or former family members available to answer questions?

Yes. In fact, many family members have asked to be included on a telephone list for this purpose. They receive no payment or benefits from Emerald Crest and voluntarily offer their time to help other families. We believe the decision process can be easier if you have access to objective, first-hand experiences, so we invite you to call these individuals who’ll be happy to answer your questions in confidence. Just ask our admissions coordinator for the list.

Do your memory care residents or their families ever share their stories?

Yes! We have several of those stories – Success Stories – posted here on our website. Loved ones talk about their journey with family members and how they came to choose Emerald Crest, as well as how Emerald Crest cares for husbands, mothers, and more. These Success Stories profiles can be helpful when reflecting on whether memory care is needed at this time for your loved one.

How is Emerald Crest licensed?

Emerald Crest is licensed as an Assisted Living with Dementia Care with the Minnesota Department of Health.

How do I place a reservation?

After your tour, our registered nurse will be available to complete an in-home assessment. If they determine that admission to Emerald Crest is appropriate, you can reserve a room by placing a deposit. For information, contact Admissions by email or phone at 952-908-2215.

What health insurance plans support living at Emerald Crest?

Please refer to your insurance policy to determine coverage.

Does Emerald Crest offer short-term stays for residents?

Yes. We can care for your loved one for less than 30 days through our Short-Stay/Respite Program. For optimum convenience, we provide bedroom furniture, towels and some toiletries.
